Where Can I Find An Attorney That Specializes In Indigent Criminal Defense?
I have a friend who is being wrongly accused of something he hasn’t done, and is currently incarcerated behind it. The court appointted attorney that he has, does not have his best interest in mind. The attorney met with my friend once in the last 3 or 4 months and when my friend’s family inquire about the case the attorney gives them the run around. My friend and his family can’t afford an attorney, so they have pretty much given up hope of him ever coming home. So if there is anyone who knows anyone willing to help my friend, please let me know. Any info or help would be grately appreciated.

There aren’t criminal attorneys that will take a pro-bono case when there are public defenders to do it.
It isn’t that the court appointed doesn’t have your friend’s interest in mind, it is that he has 100 or more other cases, and has to deal with them on the days they come up in court.
There is nothing going on with your friend’s case – the family will have to wait until the court dates, like everyone else who can’t afford an attorney that can hold their hand.
If he truly is innocent – it will come out in trial.
Harsh reality,and I’m sorry to have to tell you it. Your friend is going to have to reevaluate his life and his friends so that when he does get out, he stays away from the life that has led him to be in the position he is in.
It sounds like your friend is in jail awaiting trial. If this is the case, then he has a problem with posting bond, not with the public defender’s office. His trial date will come, and he will get his day in court.
Check your local directory for Legal Aid and give them a call.
Use search and type in ur state and city, attorney, and social security. I think yahoo has a local page for most cities that would probably be easier to use. Usually you can find them easily. They will all charge the same, so might as well get the best you can find. Good luck.

Attorney's fees for ANY estate are usually paid by the ESTATE. They would come out BEFORE the trust is created. In most cases, they take priority over any debts owed by the estate.

What's the name of your organization? Where is it located? What does it do? What services does it provide? How long has it been in existence? How many paid staff members does it have? What local funding or government contracts does it currently receive? What was its budget in 2007, and is the record of its spending and donations available for anyone to read?
Actually, I'm not asking you to answer those questions online; my point is that you need to have all of this information readily available before you seek international donors. There is no magical database of international donors for NGOs in the developing world. Donations are garnered through your own networking locally with international representatives (international corporations, international NGOs, etc.)
