Attorney for the Damned: Clarence Darrow in the Courtroom

Attorney for the Damned: Clarence Darrow in the Courtroom
Product Description
“Clarence Darrow [was] perhaps the most effective courtroom opponent of cant, bigotry, and special privilege that our country has produced. All of Darrow’s most celebrated pleas are here–in defense of Leopold and Loeb (1924), of Lieutenant Massie (1932), of Big Bill Haywood (1907), of Thomas Scopes (1925), and of himself for attempted bribery.”–The New Yorker

It is better known as "The Communist Trial" and a history of it can be found either at the Library of Congress or here:
If your friend didn't tell the lawyer at the courthouse on the day of his hearing that his services weren't required, he effectively hired him. The work was done, and the attorney is owed his fees. Your friend should sit down with him and try to work out a compromise.

If you are looking for something free or low cost, then you can go to one of the organization. But if your case is a little more complicated than the usual (if it includes deportation warrants, illegal overstay, felony), an immigration lawyer is better but since immigration law is one of the most difficult branches of law, it will cost you money. Do not go to an organization if your case is complicated. As for going faster, I am not really sure. One thing I do know, filling the papers with someone who's inexperienced can cause a great delay, but with a lawyer who knows what he's doing, then you do have a great shot of having everything file properly.
To be frank, immigration itself is more likely to recommend a lawyer.
AP – Family members, investigators, clergy and even a psychic have spent weeks testifying in a northern Illinois courtroom — and Drew Peterson’s murder trial hasn’t even started.

Families of the innocent victims of the July 7 attacks made an emotional courtroom outburst today after a lawyer called the men who killed their loved ones ‘apparent bombers’.
Counter-propagandist.
The tricks of rasping are more about you than your equipment. There are a variety of tricks which allow a saxophonist to "dirty up" his/her tone; perhaps the simplest is to growl or sing as you play (this does require some extra air since you're vibrating both your larynx and reed). Fluttering your tongue will also add a roughness to your tone; this shouldn't need extra air unless your embouchure is not firm enough to prevent leaks. I encourage you to use a somewhat soft reed (the heavier ones do need more air to vibrate, so the softer reed is easier to work with) and start learning any trick with either the open C# or just the neck and mouthpiece to simplify the process.
Look below for a great resource by the late, great Boots Randolph that is an absolute gold mine of ideas to develop your sound in the rock-n-roll idiom; there is a section completely dedicated to the tricks you seek.
