This is a rephrasing of a question I asked earlier, but realized was too vague. Which documents are prepared by the seller’s attorney? And which one does the title search? What else must the seller’s attorney do?

This is my first question so be gentle;-) I am considering taking an attorney recruiter position with a legal staffing company and I was wondering if anyone had any idea what an “average” first year recruiter can expect to make in a large urban area. The compensation involves a draw against future commission, 45% of placement fee. Knowing what I know about attorney compensation where I live it seems that I wouldn’t have to do all that many placements to exceed six figures so there must be a catch here.
David Ball on Damages: The Essential Update, A Plaintiff’s Attorney’s Guide for Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Cases Product Description When David Ball on Damages was first published in 2001, it changed the way attorneys seek damages. The book provides step-by-step guidance for attorneys seeking money for their clients. Ball explains why jurors give, why they do not, and how to motivate them to do the former instead of the latter. He walks readers through voir dire, opening, testimony, and closing, providing practical, effective, and innovative methods for pursuing damages. Now, in this expanded, second edition, Ball includes methods to contend with the way today’s jurors view lawyers and their clients. The techniques provide tools to counter sophisticated opposition tactics, the public mood, and laws and rules that continue to grow more hostile. I am assuming here that an attorney is the same thing as a lawyer, but I don’t know how to become one. I do know enough about nurses so no need to reply with that info.

I live in Texas and I am in the process of buying a home directly from the seller. My bank suggests going to an attorney to have them complete the buyer/seller paperwork. What does it usually cost for this?
